Gazbia Sirry Estate

YOA Law Firm advises the Estate of the late Egyptian artist Gazbia Sirry on legal and art market matters, including authentication, attribution, due diligence and the protection of the artist’s legacy and works.

Gazbia Sirry was a leading figure in Egypt’s modern art history. Over a career of more than six decades, she held over 70 solo exhibitions across Egypt, the Middle East, Europe, and North America, and her artworks were exhibited internationally from the 1950s onward, including at the Venice Biennale (1952, 1956, 1958, 1984) and the São Paulo Biennale (1953, 1963).

Today, Sirry’s artworks are held in prestigious international collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), the National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington, D.C.), the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA, New York) among others. Many of her paintings have also been acquired by museums worldwide and sold at leading international auction houses, underscoring her enduring influence and recognition on the global art market.
